Hello + welcome back to my blog,
Today's post is going to be a battle of the setting sprays! Since discovering the magic of setting sprays, I have been on a quest to find the best one. But before we get into it, let me just briefly explain what setting spray does. Setting sprays help your make up stay in tack all day. Back in the day, before these guys were even a thing, people (including myself) would use hairspray to do the trick but we thank God those days are over. Anyway enough definitions now onto the review ...
NYX MATTE FINISH
So first off we have the NYX Matte finish setting spray (it is also available in a dewy finish).
Price: £7
So the description says it is "For that fresh make up look that lasts NYX Professional Makeup Makeup Setting Sprays are lightweight and comfortable while working hard to make sure your makeup stays put."
MY VERDICT
PROS: I really do like this spray, it's super light weight and it really does make your dewy foundation dry Matte. It also has makes my skin feel hydrated, weird right? But it really does. It's super affordable and easy to get your hands on.
CONS: It doesn't really have the long lasting effect, it doesn't last the whole day. It lasted about 4 hours until I started to notice that I needed to powder my face again.
Overall rating: 6.5/10
URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER SPRAY
Price: £23.50
What Urban Decay say about the spray " ... weightless spray to give your makeup serious staying power. All Nighter Setting Spray keeps makeup looking gorgeous for up to 16 hours — without melting, fading or settling into fine lines."
MY VERDICT
PROS: It does what it says! It last you all night and day! I have to say it is so good. It literally locks your makeup into place. Urban decay did not come to play! I have to say I am all the way here for this product! Yes Yes and Yes!
CONS: the price is a little steep, but you can expect that for a high end product. The initial smell when you spray it is a bit vodka like but it does fade away almost instantly.
Overall rating: 9.5/10
So there you have it guys, my review on the setting sprays! I hope you found this useful!
Until next time!

Hello guys and welcome to my first ever skincare post! I have always had pretty decent skin, with he odd break out here and there. I've never really had a skincare routine, I would do one for about a week and then stop. However, I am determined to make the effort to do a daily routine forever lol!
I went to The Body Shop to get some products for my skin. I have super sensitive dry skin so I have to be soo careful about what I use on it. So I had a little consultation with one of the skincare specialists, and here are the products she recommended:
ALOE (VERA) CLEANSER
According to the body shop it is a comforting rich cream cleanser moisturises and gently cleanses sensitive skin. Melt away impurities and reveal skin that feels clean, refreshed and calm.
ALOE (VERA) TONER
This is used to "gently tone, prime and refresh your skin with our soothing toner. Aloe effectively removes residual impurities, to refresh and clarify sensitive skin"
TEA TREE EXFOLIATOR
"Squeaky Clean Scrub is a daily facial exfoliator perfect for blemished skin."
What I like about this product so far is that the little micro beads is that they are really small, so it doesn't have that tough feeling on your skin. The smell is a little strong for me, but I just don't like the smell of tea tree anyway so that's probably why I don't like it that much.
Ok so we are about to get real up close and personal on this blog. Here are a few pictures of my problem areas, I have dark circles around my eyes, especially in my inner corners, some uneven skin and black heads here and there.
So far the products do make my skin feel really nice and soft after applying them but obviously it's too early for any major results, as it's only been a week. I will do an update in 4 weeks to see if there are any changes in my skin.
Hope you guys were inspired! See you guys soon for an update!

In light of the AW season, it's now time to find your winter coat and this type of coat we are looking at today is quite the coat. It is the infamous 'Puffer/Padded Jacket', it has been transformed from the 'man's not hot' roadman jacket, to a high fashion staple piece.
I was always a bit sceptical about looking like a roadman in a puffer/padded jacket, but when you pair it with the right things, it really does work! It looks super fashionable and it keeps you warm, it's literally the best of both worlds!
Here are a few pictures* of different ways other people have styled this jacket. I personally really like all of the ways the jacket has been styled, but I'd love to know which one you like the most, leave a comment below!
Here are some links to places where you can get some really nice, good quality and affordable puffer jackets.
Hope you guys liked this post! See you next week!

Class is in session, bad gal rih rih is back and badder than ever, just over a week ago Rihanna kick started this new term with a whole new creeper collection, the cleated creeper. Guys I have recently jumped back on the trainer/sneaker craze wave, and these creepers are giving me all kinds of life.
I went to Office to try these bad boys on and ahhhhh they are so comfy and girl they give you the extra lift you need! .. Are you struggling to get the jar at the back of the cupboard? Don't worry Fenty got you, just pop them cleated creepers on and Bob is your uncle or should I say Rihanna is your aunty haha.
They cleated creepers come in two colours black and brown (£125), but they also have the ankle strap cleated creeper which comes in a cream colour, a black/purple and the classic black and white (£150). I am loving both but my bank account won't allow me so I am planning to get the black ankle straps because they are extra and I love a bit of extraness haha!
They are also pretty easy to get your hands on, you can buy them in Footlocker, JD, Asos, Office and a bunch of popular sneaker stores.
So what's the verdict? are the cleated creepers one to copp (buy) or drop? My verdict = COPP!
Well I hope you guys liked my copp or drop, trainer review! see you in my next post!

Hello + welcome back to my blog,
I know it's been a long time, I decided to take a short break from blogging to focus on other things, but now I'm back and I am better! Today I am back with another fashion post. As you guys know I love my denim. Denim jackets are my all time favorites, I think I may do a post on all my top denim jackets, let me know if you want to see my collection ;) I love basics, I have so many plain Tees in my wardrobe and I think it's something everyone needs to have and I'm sure everyone does have, it super easy to dress up and down! I have really been inspired by menswear, I have an extensive board on my pinterest that really inspired this look. As always, I am about comfortability and this is such a super chilled look.
In light of the summer season, I decided to bright up my stan smiths with some yellow laces. I'd say this look is an acquired taste, but in life I've learnt to ' do you' it's better for the soul ... So I've heard.
For those of you wondering why I am in all black in summer is because I live in the UK and summer isn't exactly summer, the sun may be shining but don't let the light fool you because the cold will catch you off guard! You heard it here first!
Well enough chit chat, on to zee pics! ..

So today I'm back with another outfit of the day for the Birmingham Fashion Festival. I kind of went for a casual look but you can easily dress this up with some heels and switch the denim jacket for a leather jacket. You guys know I love anything comfortable and it's always a plus if it actually looks pretty sick.
Sooo .. I'm guessing you guys probably noticed something different ... Yeahhhhh so I have orange hair, why? because orange is the new black (see what I did there haha, I'm so funny right)! I was slightly inspired by the scottish disney Princess Merida, from the film Brave. I feel like her chill outlook on life is slightly me, so it was only appropriate to also dye my hair orange to fully relate to her haha. To be honest, I just wanted to change my look and do something out of my comfort zone and at first I was a little apprehensive but now I'm feeling it.
So the festival was a four day event, showcasing lots of designers in Birmingham and the event I attended was the Private Liaison Runway show. The fashion show was in a really nice and intimate setting. We got to sit front row, so we had a very good view of all the models. The designers were so diverse, you had a variety of styles across the whole show, which was really cool to see.
Overall it was a really good event, something I'd recommend to any aspiring fashion designers or even anyone just like me who likes fashion.
Make sure to follow Birmingham Fashion Festival on Instagram to see all the designers and to keep up to date on their upcoming shows,

Hello + Welcome back to my blog, and welcome to my second beauty post!
It dawned upon me that this is also a beauty blog but I noticed I barely did any beauty posts. I am not the biggest make up fanatic but one thing that I do have and have a lot of is, lip products! I use to hate having big lips but after the realisation that big lips are life, I took advantage of them, ombre looks literally look so good on my lips, since there's a lot more to work with if you know what I mean lol.
So as a woman of colour its sometimes hard to find a nude that looks good on my skin tone, I know the struggle is real so I thought I'd share my top lip glosses and matte lipsticks that really compliment that melanin!
I hope you guys like it, If you want to see more beauty stuff comment below! But enough rambling.. on to the swatches! ...
LIP GLOSSES
1. CLINIQUE LIP GLOSS - NUDE POP
2. NYX BUTTER GLOSS - PRALINE
3. NYX BUTTER GLOSS - GINGER SNAP
MATTE LIPS
1. NYX LIP LINGERIE - BEDTIME FLIRT
2. LIME CRIME VELVETINES - SALEEM
3. NYX MATTE LIP - DUBAI
[NOTE - SALEEM + SHROOM are A LOT darker, for some reason my camera did not pick it up that well, but shroom does really blend in with my skin, its such a great nude for girls with dark skin.]
Hope you guys liked this post, tell me which ones are your fav!
see you next Sunday!

Hello + welcome back to my blog, today on this glorious sunday morning we are back with another 'Style Steal'. Today I am introducing the sporty dress! Sports clothing brands are doing the most these days, and I am here for it. I'm just loving how a lot of the clothing that is supposed to be for fitness can now be worn on the daily, like sports bras, track bottoms and leggings, the list can go on and on.
A popular brand that is just doing a lot is adidas, the Adidas Originals range is sick! Their dresses are honestly one of my favourites and there collection is extensive. They have so many different styles, and you can wear them in so many different ways.
Since 'The Style Steal' is all about promoting bloggers, and people with amazing style... here are a three really cool bloggers/instagrammers that having been rocking these dresses, make sure to click their names to get redirected to their pages.
